About Thanos Beach (Blue Flag)
Thanos beach is one of the most popular in Limnos sandy and with shallow waters . Situated a relatively short distance from the island’s capital only 5,8km, the road leading to the beach is asphalted. It is located in the southwest part of Limnos at the bottom of a beautiful bay. The vast sandy beach attracts in the summers a multitude of visitors of the island for its crystal clear waters. The complete organization is another element of the beach of Thanos that makes it particularly popular. In addition to umbrellas and sunbeds on the beach one can find from rooms to let, natural taverns and cafes. Beach parties are often organized, while the shops of the area are full of people, with the music echoing until the evening. The infrastructure for water sports is not lacking from the beach of Thanos, while its “honorary” there has the beach volleyball – even professional facilities are available.
