Platy Beach Lemnos (Blue Flag) is probably the most touristic beach of Limnos. Platy beach is located on the southwest side of Limnos and took its name from the homonymous village, Platy. It is a popular choice for many holidaymakers. Platy beach is located a few minutes from the island’s capital, Myrina. There are several rooms to rent, hotels, bars and taverns in the area. The beach has fine sand and is organized with umbrellas, sunbeds even with a small playground! The sea is relatively shallow and gradually deepens. Platy beach is considered one of the two most popular in Limnos, along with that of shallow waters.
