About Mikro Fanaraki and Megalo Fanaraki
The beaches of Mikro and Megalo Fanaraki are located about one kilometer away from Moudros. They have clear, crystal clear and turquoise waters with rich sand. The beach in Megalo Fanaraki is fully organized, has umbrellas, sunbeds and beach bar. The beach is 200 meters long. In Megalo Fanaraki nature formed many caves and elaborate formations for exploration. There several times have appeared Mediterranean seals nesting in its caves. Access to the Grand Fanaraki is easy, via paved road, which only in the last meters becomes a passable dirt road. At the back side of the bay in Megalo Fanaraki, the “sister” beach, Mikro Fanaraki, develops. In Mikro Fanaraki you will find all kinds of organization, with umbrellas, sunbeds and beach bar. At the edge of the beach is the cave of Seal, a cavernous formation, where Mediterranean seals have been observed from time to time. On The Small Fanaraki, you will see a green estate, fenced, in which rare species of flora and fauna of Limnos are preserved.
