Agios Sozos Church
The church of Saint Sozon, the patron saint of the island of Lemnos, is located at the southeast end of the island in the village of Fisini.
About Agios Sozos Church
The Church of Agios Sozos, patron saint of the island of Limnos, located on the southeastern tip of the island. Ιn the village of nature, an enchanting beach, away from the capital Mirina about 45 km. According to the local tradition, the temple was built in this place after the Saint’s suggestion in a miraculous way. The miraculous way in which Saint indicated the position of the church became known throughout Lemnos. So many pilgrims flock to the festival on September 7 and gradually established a festival. A few years ago, the cells -small apartments- that were used for hosting the visitors in the old days were renovated.
